Supervisor Liaison Officer (SLO)
The Supervisor Liaison Officer position was developed when General Practice Training was regionalised in 2002. Each RTP appoints an SLO to facilitate dialogue between GP Supervisors and the training provider, at regional and national levels.

At Adelaide to Outback, the urban and rural SLOs (who job-share the role) provide an additional communication link between GP Supervisors and the RTP. They ensure Supervisors are up-to-date with Adelaide to Outback training developments, and provide us with feedback from a Supervisor’s perspective.

The Adelaide to Outback SLO position is rotated on an eighteen-month basis. The positions are an important contact available to all Registrars and Supervisors respectively throughout the training period.

Dr Graham Morris is the current rural SLO, and Dr Rod Pearce is the current urban SLO.
